It was great to have a week off for the holidays to be with family, travel to the Hill Country, and spend time in worship and reflection during this special time of year commemorating the birth of the Savior.
My wife gifted me with a 9 week old Yellow Labrador Retriever puppy on Christmas morning- since our Black Lab, Gracie, passed away three years ago, we have been dog-less mainly because Jill did not want the smell or mess of another dog. Knowing how badly I have wanted a dog, this was a very real sacrifice for her. We named the puppy Maggie and she “leads” with her teeth, causing me to wonder if Jill didn’t find a land-dwelling Piranha and dress her up in a puppy costume. At any rate, I’m sure this “toothy phase” will pass and she will make a wonderful pet.
Now that the holidays have passed and we are back at work, our focus changes and I give thanks to God that he has blessed me with a group of wonderfully dedicated professional ladies to work with and also blessed us with so many wonderful people to care for in our practice.
Happy New Year!
